Neuraxis - The Thin Line Between

So Neuraxis' first album since 2005's Trilateral Progression. Fucking killer so far, just goes to show how Neuraxis is one of the top metal bands to ever come out of Canada. I've loved everything this band has put out. Definitely have to pick this one up when it's released. Very fast and technical. If only another certain French Canadian metal band (Cryptopsy or now, Coretopsy) didn't turn to shit...

Hangovers, relationships & career choices

So the past little while has been hectic. I've been busy getting ready for college in the fall (about fuckin' time). Gunna be living with my grandfather in North York because I'm a cheap bastard and I don't want to spend the $5400 for dorm. Hopefully my Jessica will be living with us too. The other night I was at the firehall, getting my 14 hour First Aid/CPR (Level C) training course done in 3 hours. Very interesting night, it was cool, and it made me realize what I want to do with my life: I want to be a firefighter. Just like my dad.

So I've been seeing a girl, her name is Jessica. She's really great. Jess really makes me smile, and she's the first person to do so since Chantelle. I love her, and I can't wait to leave for Penetang tomorrow morning to see her!

Oh, and last night I got pretty wasted. Not really cool.

Bloodbath - The Wacken Carnage [Live] (2008)

New live album from the one and only Bloodbath. Crazy, they're one of my favourite bands. I usually don't like live albums, but everything about this one is brutal. Definitely going to pick this up when it's released. Gunna be weird to see Åkerfeldt without a guitar on stage!

The Leafs finally have a half decent coach

About time. My horribly bad beloved Maple Leafs announced today the signing of veteran coach Ron Wilson. $6.8 over four years. I'm really glad they got Wilson, who was fired from San Jose awhile ago. I've always liked his style of coaching. Apparently he's a hardass, but you know what, that's exactly what this team needs. Paul Maurice was such a yuppy prick, we had the softest team in the league for the past two seasons.



Alot of Leaf fans are going nuts about Mats Sundin. You know what? I don't really care if he stays or not. The Leafs wouldn't suck any less with or without him here. I know we'll be terrible next season, and I hope they tank and get Tavares.
